Cayla Baughns

Cayla Baughns is a scenic designer whose work integrates artistic vision with technical precision. She is an MFA candidate in Design for Theater & Entertainment at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film & Television, where she serves as a sceneshop teaching assistant, and will graduate in June 2026. She also holds a BA in Theatre Design, with a concentration in Scenic Design and a minor in Studio Art, from the University of South Florida.

Her credits include Emma: No One But Herself, Courage to Right a Woman’s Wrongs, Everybody, and The Thanksgiving Play, along with extensive experience as an assistant scenic designer and scenic painter. She has also expanded her practice into film, working as a production designer and assistant on student projects. Skilled in both digital and traditional media, she brings a detail-driven, thoughtful approach to creating immersive visual environments
